(I work for a major retailer that sells deer corn and other hunting items.)

Customer: “Do you have any deer corn?”
Me: “Yes, it’s in the center of the aisle right over there.”
Customer: “Well next time just say you don’t have any, because THAT says DONKEY CORN on the bag!”
(Customer walks away. I walked over, looked at the bag. It reads “Donkey Corn” as the MODEL name. And there’s a big picture of a buck on the front.)

(Note: At this time, I am in my early teens with my braces. There is another kid with my name, but he has a different last name. After getting my new wire, the lady that is treating me goes off and says these important things that she doesn’t give me enough time to react. We go to call my mother up)

Employee: “[Name] [other last name]’s Mom.

*My mother doesn’t respond, and I couldn’t hear the lastname very well*

Me: *slightly irritated* “I’ll get her”

*She is on her phone, so I wave my hand inbetween*

Me: “Come on, let’s go up.”

*We go up, and the employee rattles off about what they changed, then she says:*

Employee: “We gave him a choice to brush his teeth and he denied.”

*They’ve never done this before, so she kinda confused me for a minute, then kept moving on. My mother gives me an angry face, making me slightly laugh*

Employee: “And he’s laughing.”

*She rattles off some more, and then we leave, and when I got home, my mom says this:*

Mom: “I’m going to talk to the manager, they laughed at me when [My Name] waved his hand in my face!”

*She is discussing this with my father, who tells her to calm down and grab a wine, and then she calms down.*

Me: *to myself* “Not only did my mother just get mad over me not brushing my teeth for something they do all the time, but they don’t ask me, and gave me the PERFECT opportunity to put this up on Notalwaysright.com, since i’ve been reading the stories everyday!”

(My mom is a nurse and she works at hospice but before she was a nurse and she tells me all about it. Anyways another nurse was helping an elderly woman and the elderly woman was screaming because the nurse wasn’t white so the nurse got my mom)
Mom: I’m sorry ma’am I’ll help you.
Elderly woman: thank you.
(My mom gets the woman ready and as my mom goes to leave she says….)
Mom: you realize I’m black, I’m just light skinned.

(I work at a restaurant for elderly people at a retirement home and an old couple comes down)
Me: hello there welcome to (restaurant name) how may I help you?
(The couple order and I bring their food out when it’s done)
Elderly woman: this isn’t what I ordered!
Me: Yes it is ma’am.
Elderly woman: no it’s not!
Me: what did you or- (my moms a nurse here and she calls me over.)
Mom: honey you work at a retirement home of course she doesn’t remember.
Me: well what do I do then?
Mom: (gives me a piece of paper) write down what you gave her then she’ll eat it.
Me: what if she’s allergic to it?
Mom: what did you give her?
(I tell her what I gave her)
Mom: she’s not allergic to that.
Me: okay.
(I do what my mom says and it works. Btw my mom works with her so she knows what she’s allergic to.)

*A customer places an order on our website on a federal holiday. We receive the order the very next morning, when we open, and sadly we are out-of-stock. An e-mail is immediately sent to the customer informing them of the issue and offering an exchange to another product.*

Our E-mail: …free upgrade to [superior product]. If you would like to accept this product, please contact us at [contact information].

Their Response: That’s fine, but since it’s delayed I’ll need to change some things.

*I looked at the dates and times of the order. They placed it at Noon on a federal holiday and we contacted them the morning of the very next business day… less than 24 hours later. Given our orders take a day or two to ship out, not to mention several more days to arrive at their location, I’m not sure how fast they were expecting this.*
