(I go with my mom to a convenience store near our house to pick up a couple things. She ordered some photos and goes to the counter to pick them up.)
Clerk: Did you have any 8x10s?
Mom: No, they’re 5×7.
Clerk: Okay. (She looks for mom’s order.) Um, you’re (name)?
Mom: Yes.
Clerk: These are 4×6.
Mom: That’s right.
Clerk: Okay, I heard 5×7.
Mom: No, they’re supposed to be 4×6.
Me: You said 5×7.
Mom: No I didn’t. I said 4×6.
Me: No, you said 5×7.
Clerk: Yeah, I heard 5×7.
Mom: Why would I say 5×7?
Me: I don’t know.
(When we were walking to the car, she still insisted she said 4×6.)

(I am a tall person (6’3″) and prefer a reclining seat so I can make room for my feet if the person in front of me reclines their seat. This takes place on an 8 hour international flight. [Customer #1] is seated right behind me, and her seat is in front of a bulkhead so it can’t recline)

Customer #1 (to flight attendant): Excuse me, I need to be moved. I can’t sit anywhere that won’t recline.

Flight attendant: I’m sorry but all the seats are assigned and the flight is fully booked.

Customer #1: I can’t believe this. I booked these seats 2 years ago specifically so they could recline, but then they changed the type of plane on me. I demand you find me a seat that reclines. I have a back condition and can’t sit here – you need to move someone who didn’t book their seats 2 years ago since I was first.

Flight attendant: I can go make an announcement to see if anyone is willing to move but I can’t force anyone to move.

Customer #1 (suddenly noticing me): Excuse me, could you be a dear and change seats with me. This airline is so rude and won’t give me a reclining seat even though I booked the flight 2 years ago. I can’t sit here because of my back condition but they’re making me stay here just because they changed the plane.

(At this point I agreed to change seats with her, despite the fact I wouldn’t fit as well. But jeez lady, if you need a reclining seat so badly and really booked it so long ago, maybe check the arrangement again a few weeks before.)

(I’m working at a public library. One patron approaches the front desk where I am currently sitting alone. Please note that I am 19 years old at this point while the patron looks like he is in his sixties.)

Patron: *slightly leaning over the counter with a smug grin on his face* I need to make a complaint.

Me: Oh no! What happened?

Patron: *grinning broadly* You stole my heart, sweety.

(He then walked away as if nothing happened. I laughed it off, but I still wish I had a good comeback. Seriously, that guy was almost old enough to be my grandfather!)

I work at a plus sized women’s clothing store. There was one day where one of my coworkers and I were asked to come in early to change the window displays, which consist of posters. These things are pretty long and big, so it take some time to change them out and we have to put them in specific hardware before we even hang them in the windows.
It was about half an hour before we opened, so we were almost done. I was sitting on the floor putting the last poster in the hardware and a customer came up to the door, clearly saw me with the poster and started pulling on the door hard. She then starts screaming about how she needs to come in. I pointed at the hours, which were clearly stated on the door. She just continues to pull on the door. I then got up, put the window in, and walked back to count tills so we could open. I’m not sure why she thought we would open the doors for her a half hour before we opened, but I wasn’t doing it.
