These Customers Will Cry Over Spoiled Milk

Customer: “I need to return this milk.”

Me: “That is an almost empty gallon of milk.”

Customer: “Almost, but not quite. I need to return it.”

Me: “What is the reason for the return?”

Customer: “I want to return it for a new one or my money back because that last bit went bad before the expiration date.”

Me: “We can’t give you a new one because the old one wasn’t used quickly enough.”

Customer: “Get me the manager.”

My manager comes over and hears the same request.

Manager: “Ma’am, sorry, but no. Buy smaller milk items, or drink it faster. We’re not giving you a whole new gallon because you’re a slow drinker.”

Customer: “I’m shocked you’re talking to me that way!”

Manager: “I’m shocked you had the audacity to try that return in the first place! No refund!”

She threw the almost empty gallon at me and stormed out. She made sure to loosen the cap on the milk before doing so, ensuring it went all over the place. And yes… it had definitely gone bad.
