Getting Dead Tired Of This Funeral Talk

My family is at a friend’s house for a Cinco de Mayo party. After dinner, we are sitting around the living room when one of the hosts receives a call about a funeral he will be attending the next day.

When he gets off the phone, the conversation shifts to funerals, funeral plans, funeral costs, burial versus cremation versus taxidermy, wills, death in general, etc.

My younger sister, clearly getting bored, eventually blurts out:

Sister: “I thought this was Cinco de Mayo, not Dia de Los Muertos!”
