Why Contracts Are A Gazillion Pages Long, Part 4
I was working as a copywriter for an advertising agency, and one of our clients was an energy company. One of our projects was to come up with a postcard for their 100% wind-powered energy service. The graphic we used was a windmill with a cord running from the bottom of it to a house — obviously, symbolism.
The client made me add a disclaimer.
Disclaimer: “A windmill will not actually plug into your house with this service.”
