Whoever She Is, She Deserves Better
It’s Valentine’s Day, so our restaurant is packed. One customer has been yelling at me because I’m not able to serve the food fast enough because, as I said, it’s Valentine’s Day and it’s packed.
He manages to corner me away from his table.
Customer: “You’re stopping me from getting laid!”
Me: “…?”
Customer: “I don’t want to pretend to be interested in her any longer than I have to; she’s not that hot.”
I have never been more tempted to slow down and accidentally misplace a customer’s check.
