Customer: “I need to return this.”
They place a carbon monoxide detector on the desk.
Me: “What’s wrong with it?”
Customer: “It keeps going off.”
Me: “The alarm keeps going off because you have detectable carbon monoxide levels in your home. You can get sick from that, so you need to get that looked at.”
Customer: “Well, I don’t want it; it keeps going off.”
Me: “So you want to return an item because it’s working too well?”
Customer: “I don’t want to have to deal with it! I don’t have time!”
Me: “But you have time to return it?”
Customer: “Ugh, you’re giving me such a headache.”
Me: “That’ll be the carbon monoxide…”
