This Entitlement Is Taking Up Too Much Space
I am working at the checkout tills at a supermarket. I have an elderly customer spending over £70 on cat treats.
While I am serving him a call comes over the tannoy calling out a car’s registration number. After a couple of calls, another customer on the checkout behind me recognises the registration number as the car of the elderly customer I am serving.
Other Customer: “Oi! [Elderly Customer]! They’re calling about your car!”
Elderly Customer: “So what?!”
Other Customer: “Maybe it’s because you’re parked across three parking spaces?!”
Elderly Customer: “I have a £85,000 BMW! My car is the most expensive car in the car park. I can park it however I like!”
And with that, he paid for his shopping and walked out the store.
