Just Another Sign Of The Times

In July 2020, English cafes are allowed to reopen for sit-in service, provided they followed strict social distancing rules. However, staff or supply shortages often lead to the unavailability of certain items. Given that, I suppose this thing that I overheard isn’t so surprising, but it still gives me a chuckle.

Customer: “Can I have an all-day breakfast?”

Cashier: “Sorry, all-day breakfast stopped at 12:00 noon.”
