It’ll Take A Lot More Than Fan-Assisted Cooling To Deal With This Hot-Head
I am taking a break in my tech support role and can overhear my coworker talking to a caller:
Coworker: “Yes, sir, I did say to open the computer tower, but I meant to unscrew the panel using a screwdriver.”
Pause.
Coworker: “Well, yes, I would agree with you that the computer is now open, but seeing as how you opened yours with a blowtorch, it’s safe to say that there’s not much more you can do at this point.”
Pause.
Coworker: “No, sir, I will not be taking the blame for this.”
Pause.
Coworker: “Because it’s generally understood that when you’re asked to open up your computer, you are to do so in a manner that doesn’t damage the delicate electronics inside and not to attack it with a flame that’s designed to cut steel.”
