Ignoring Signs Can Be Hazardous To Your Health
I came across a woman with a pram and two toddlers in the service area of a busy shopping centre.
Me: “Ma’am, there is no public access to this area. There are trucks reversing and various other big, crushing hazards.”
As I escorted her and her kids to a safe area, she started yelling.
Woman: “You should have a sign!”
We were literally walking over the words “NO PUBLIC ACCESS BEYOND THIS POINT” painted on the road in two-foot-high letters at this stage.
Me: “We have signs.” *Points* “One sign, two signs, three signs, four signs, five signs, six signs, seven signs. Seven. Seven signs, and a huge warning painted on the roadway.”
Woman: “I never read signs.”
