Unfiltered Story #241205

I am going through border control to enter Edinburgh and have filled in the arrivals card. I will be traveling in a camper van, so under ‘address’ I put ‘not apllicable’.

Customs officer: How come you haven’t put an address of where you’ll be staying?

Me: Because I’m going to [well known rental company] to hire a campervan and I’ll be driving around the UK.

Customs officer: Oh OK. So how come you can’t put an address?

Me: …. because it’s a campervan. It has an engine, it’s a mobile vehicle. I’ll be traveling for the whole time, so I won’t have a fixed address.

Customs officer: [no expression of understanding] Oh ok. [Stamps passport]

These are the people protecting borders…
