I’m at work, serving as usual when a middle-aged lady comes in asking for bread rolls (we sell a few kinds of bread and rolls in packs).
I ask to confirm, “4 packs?”
She replies “No, I need 400.”
I’m a little sidelined, as we normally don’t get through that many in a week.
“I’m sorry, did you say 400 rolls?”
“No, I want 400 packs, right now.”
“uhh…..”
Our manager has to sweetly explain that we don’t make the rolls in-store and although we could order them in, it would take about 3 or 4 days.
She left in a huff.
