Unfiltered Story #189091

I work at a fast food store. I’m 17 and always looked young for my age. I’ve just served a customer and she begins making small talk with me.
Customer: “So, how old are you?
Me: “I’m 17!”
Customer: (obviously surprised) “Really? I thought you were 11, maybe 12!”
Me: Um, ma’am you have to be 14 and 9 months at the youngest to be employed in this state…”
(I’m used to people thinking I’m 15 or 16, but this was totally unexpected!)
