The Phonetic Alphabet Just Isn’t Rude Enough
I work in a company where the only reason you can hang up on a client is if they are being rude directly to you, not if the customer is insulting the company, ranting about the service, or simply saying bad words.
I take this woman’s request.
Me: “Can you spell your name, please?”
Woman: *Very annoyed* “It’s W for ‘whore,’ I for ‘idiot,’ double L for ‘loser,’ and A for ‘a**e’. Is it clear now?”
I hung up.
