It’s Apparent That He’s Just Making It Up As He Goes

Because my mom passed away years before I had any children, the only one I can ask for any insight into how I raise a child is my dad. Unfortunately, the following exchange illustrates why he’s not exactly the best source of information.

Dad: “You’re asking a man how to be a mother.”

Me: “No, I’m asking a parent how to be a parent.”
