Giving Your Parents A Tongue-Lashing

(I live about 200 miles away from my family, but I visit over holidays. I usually drive there on a Friday evening or Saturday morning. A month prior, I told my parents I’d be coming to town on Saturday for Easter weekend. Early in the week before Easter I call just to remind them. I’m on the phone with my dad.)

Me: “So remember, I’m coming on Saturday morning.”

Dad: “That’s what I thought you said, but your mom said you were coming on Friday. Hey, say that again so she can hear it.”

Me: “Um, I’m coming to town on Saturday.”

Dad: “Thanks! Here’s your mom.” *hands over the phone*

Mom: “Your father just stuck his tongue out at me…”
