I have been painting for years but have done much recently. My brother has also taken up painting in the last couple of years, I had even given him some of my unused supplies. He keeps putting pictures of paintings online to get praised.

Me “Do you have any watercolour paper?”

Brother “Yeah, I do, why?”

Me “I am thinking of painting a gift for someone, I just need a couple of sheets. You should have the stuff I gave you.

Brother *pulls a face and recoils “You should stick to something you’re good at”
