My dad has always been a joker. Sadly sometimes he doesnt always let other people in on the joke. Other times he’s got inside jokes going with my nephew and likes to mess with people who eavesdrop. There’s a fine line between who’s right and wrong in this story but I think my dad was both appalling and hilarious. You decide.

He was in a charity shop attached to a church in an affluent and rather feminist suburb of Sydney with my 4 year old nephew. They were looking at the toys for sale when my nephew found a plastic kitchen.
Nephew: look granddad I’m on MasterChef.
Dad: (nephew)! Get away from that.
Nephew: oh. Why?
Dad: that’s women’s business.
He got a huge number of dirty comments and glares from all the stay at home mum’s in the room but he and my nephew laughed about it outside. They bought the kitchen for my nephew but the cranky women didn’t seem to notice.
