I’m staying with a group of people on an island in Maine. One of the guys went and got some tea at the request of one of the girls, who speaks Spanish as a second language.
Her: ¿Cuánto te debo?
Him: Cuánto… where it is?
Her: no, how much. How much do I owe you?
Him: Oh, don’t worry about it.
Her: No hablo ingles. Don’t make me go (name) on you.
(Just a moment before the guy had tried to give some money to another girl who made breakfast.
Other girl: *slides money back towards him*
First girl: I’ll put it into your pancakes.
