I work in a call center for a large ISP. Early in my day i get the following call:

Me: thanks for calling ISP how can i help you?
Customer: Yeah i want to ask if i need a wifi extender
Me: Lets get your account pulled up.
i pull up the account and make sure he is verified.
Me: okay so yes if your having wifi signal problems id reccomend getting a wifi extender from a local store.
Customer: no i want ISP to give me one.
(we havent carried extenders in a long whole because people woudnt return them)
Me: we dont have any wifi extenders we sell or give sir.
Customer: cant you make an exception just for me?
Me: we PHYSICALLY dont have one togive to ANYBODY.
Customer: Okay, i want a 2nd modem for upstairs then
Me: Let me ask billing.
(i call over to billing who then explains that he would be charged for a 2nd line of service I explain this to the customer.)
Customer: WELL I WANT TO CANCEL MY SERVICES HOW DARE YOU EXPECT ME TO PAY FOR EXTRA EQUIPMENT WHEN I SHOULD GET IT FOR FREE WITH THE SERVICE!!!!!

I sent him to retention and checked the call records. I found out he didnt want to pay the 300 disconnect fee and then hung up. I wonder if buying the 30.00 wifi extender looks worth it now.
