(I work at a home improvement store that is known for being orange. This day I am working at the Customer Service desk. The phone rings)

Me “This is (location of store and store name),you’ve reached the service desk”

Caller “Hey do you know the number to (Location of competing blue store, and blue store’s name)?”

Me “No sir i do not”

Caller “Well can’t you get it?! You work for (blue store), don’t you?!”

Me “Sir this is (Orange store)”

Caller *hangs up immediately*
(How he got passed looking up our store phone number, sitting on hold that says the store name repetitively, and my greeting, still not aware that he called the wrong number, blows my mind.)
