Unfiltered Story #205657
(I answer phones at a local pizza place. At the end of the call we relay the customer’s order and it’s price back to them in case we got the order wrong. I get a really simple order for a medium supreme pizza and a large pepperoni pizza.)
Me: Your order was one medium supreme pizza and one large pepperoni pizza, correct?
Customer: No, I wanted the pepperoni to be a large!
(Having had dealt with plenty of customers like this I pretend to change the order.)
Me: Alright, so that was one medium supreme and one large pepperoni, correct?
Customer: No! I want the pepperoni to be a LARGE!
Me: Sir, the pepperoni is a large.
Customer: ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME? I WANT THE PEPPERONI AS A LARGE!
(Seeing that I won’t be getting anywhere at this rate I pretend to change the order again but this time I don’t read it back to him.)
Me: Okay, done! Your order will be [Price]. Is this okay?
Customer: Yes, that’ll be fine.
Me: Thank you and have a nice evening!
