Will Always Be A Little Baby To Me!

As an older woman working retail, I get a laugh out of this one a lot… and it does happen A LOT.

Customer: “You! You look like you’d know this stuff. Will this fit my grandchild?”

They’re holding up a shirt for a toddler.

Me: “I don’t know; it depends on the grandchild.”

Customer: “It’s a grandchild! Obviously, it’s for a baby!”

Me: “My grandchild is 6’2″!”

There is a long moment of silence as the customer processes this fact and has no counterargument.

Customer: “He’s two years old.” 

Me: “Excellent! One size bigger than the one you are holding is best for most two-year-olds!”
