The No Banging Theory

(My wife and I are watching a random episode of The Big Bang Theory. Leonard is trying to make up with his girlfriend by excessive use of his sparkling humor and his very own ideas of being romantic, not understanding why this pushes her to the rim of the final breakup. Every single word of him makes one wince.)

Wife: “Is that a nerd?”

Me: “Um… Well… Yes… After all, that’s what The Big Bang Theory is about.”

(The following minutes, some problems of the other protagonists are discussed. Eventually, Leonard comes on screen again.)

Wife: “Good to know what could have become of you if you wouldn’t have met me!”
