My team and I had just finished up a stage-one project meeting when our client casually asked:
Client: “Do you all live locally?”
It was a tad awkward, but a few of us responded with general statements.
Client: “Okay. I’d like the names and mobile numbers of all your spouses and partners.”
Me: *Shell-shocked* “Why?”
Client: “In case I can’t get in touch with you when I want, I like to have a backup option.”
