Take Note When Passing Notes
(In my classroom there is a certain student who is notorious for talking during class-time. One day, as the rest of the class hurried around trying to finish up their in-school projects, he is busy writing on a scrap of paper. He slides it under the door to the next classroom. I find this unusual, but I continue on with my work.)
Student: “Oh, look! My note came back!”
(He reads it, and then screams.)
Classmate: “What?! What’s wrong?!”
(Right then the teacher opens the door and explains:)
Teacher: “I saw him slide the note under the door, so I took it, answered it with ‘[Teacher’s name]’’, and slid it back under with a detention slip!”
