Finally Scratched That Itch

(I have had a work meeting early in the morning but have the rest of the day off. I excitedly get home to tell my husband some of the news from my meeting.)

Me: “Hey, sweetie! You won’t guess what happened! You know how my work got rid of Employee of the Month, and instead the managers give out those scratch-cards where we win stuff?”

Husband: “Yeah. You actually get given stuff, instead of the managers just rewarding the ones who occasionally work hard.”

Me: “Well, they’ve launched the other types of scratch-cards. There’s one that gets given out only once a month.”

Husband: “Okay.”

Me: *pulls out a silver scratch-card* “Look who’s won an Amazon voucher with one!”

Husband: *surprised* “You?! You never win anything!”

Me: “Thank you. I love you, too.”
