By “Big Boss” Did You Mean “Wife”?

I have a customer yelling at our female receptionist, so I — female, and one of the supervisors — go out to address it.

Customer: “I want a supervisor!”

Me: “I am a supervisor, sir.”

Customer: “You’re not old enough to be a supervisor. I want another one!”

After arguing with him a bit, I decide to just go and get another supervisor. She’s also female, and she’s about ten years older than me.

Customer: “No, no! I need to talk to the big boss!”

Our boss happened to be male, but he was out of the office that week, so we got our acting boss, who was also female. The guy lost his mind.

He ended up leaving, but five minutes later, his wife marched him back in! It was glorious. He literally had the smallest possible problem, which our receptionist handled in thirty seconds.
