I worked for one of the busiest libraries in the state, I have many crazy stories but this is the funniest. I worked at a large circulation desk and this occurred at the new card terminal. I asked the young woman if she needed a card but she shook her head and produced a rag doll. She wanted a card for her doll. We cannot issue usable cards without id so I issued a temporary card with the doll’s name. It got stranger, she asked me to take a picture of the doll and card. She left happy. All in a days work.
