I was 19 at the time and working my first retail job at a store where the fashions cater to mature aged ladies.
In retail, it is custom to ask people if they needed any help with any items and if they are alright.
A lady came out of the change room and I realise that I have not spoken to her yet.

Me: Hi! Are you alright with your items?
Lady *bellowing*: CAN YOU STOP HARRASSING ME? I AM SO SICK OF SEEING YOU EVERYWHERE! YOU ARE SO IRRITATING!
Me: I apologise.

Everyone looked my way and I had to go into the back as I started to cry.
