My sister was a new practical nurse, and had been working for a few weeks in a home care. Her job was to give out medications, wash her patients, sometimes even cook and clean. They also had a very relaxed dress code.

Once after doing her round and going back to office, her boss calls her, crying from laughter. My sister is confused on what has happened, until her boss explains it:

My sister had been wearing her artistically ripped jeans during her rounds, and one of the old ladies had called her boss with genuine concern. She had asked if they didn’t pay their practical nurses enough, when they were forced to come to work in ripped clothes. But because the old lady had dementia, she had called them three times!

Her boss found it hilarious, bbut my sister wanted to disappear from the embarrassment. She never wore those jeans to work again.
