Unfiltered Story #278241

(My mum has been watching back to back crime dramas. She started at 8am. It is now 3pm)

Mum: “I’m getting tired of all these crime dramas. They’re all the same storyline”

Me: (not actually watching the tv but in the same room) “You can always change the channel”

Mum: “… Yeah, you’re right.”

(I hear her mess about with the remote and the channel change over. After a few moments I hear the opening notes of a tv series)

Me: “That’s still a crime drama!”

Mum: “It doesn’t count, I LIKE David Suchet!”

Me: “… he does make for an excellent little Belgium…”

(I join her in front if the tv. It is now 7pm and we’re still watching Poirot)
