Unfiltered Story #278206

(My parents divorced and remarried a few times, having children with their partners, and married partners that already had a few children. At the time of this story, I have 14 brothers and sisters- all step and half siblings as I’m the only child my parents had with each other. I have only ever once met in person someone with a larger number of siblings than me.)
Me: *explains my weird family to coworkers* “… so I have fourteen siblings.”
Coworker 1: “Holy crap.”
Coworker 2: “That is a LOT of kids.”
Me: “Yeah, but like I said, some from Mom, some from Dad, and there’s four stepsiblings in there.”
Coworker 3: “Wow. Almost as many as me!”
Me: “What? Really, you have more than me?”
Coworker 3: *laughing* “I’m number twenty-two of twenty-three kids, and they’re all from my mom’s relationship with my dad.” *shows pictures*
Me: *stunned* “Holy s****!”
(She’s still the only person I’ve ever met- in person- with more siblings than me. Oh, and I’m up to sixteen now!)
