Unfiltered Story #214101

I work for a very popular fast food restaurant that was named after the founder’s eight-year-old daughter, and is known for fresh beef burgers, fries and frosty’s. Sometimes, when customers come through our drive thru they get their poor little minds confused with what restaurant they are at.

Me: “Hi, welcome to [Fast food restaurant], may I take your order, please?”

Customer #1: “I would like white meat chicken and mashed potatoes.”

(another encounter)

Me: Hi. Welcome to My [Popular fast food restaurant, may I take your order please?
Customer #2: I would like a kid’s happy meal
Me: (Face palm)

(yet ANOTHER encounter)

Hi. Welcome to My [Popular fast food restaurant, may I take your order please?
Customer #3: I need a 4 piece nugget and a mcflurry
Me: “…”

(and ANOTHER encounter)

Hi. Welcome to My [Popular fast food restaurant, may I take your order please?
Customer #4: Hi I just want a water and a chicken sandwich.

(The sad thing is, these are typical encounters that happen throughout the day, everyday. There is a stereotype that fast food workers are not as smart, but I disagree. I think they are as smart, if not smarter than their customers. Who mistakes “golden arches” food sold at another restaurant for other restaurants products?)

Question of the Week

Have you ever served a bad customer who got what they deserved?

I have a story to share!
