Unfiltered Story #211693

, | Unfiltered | October 17, 2020

I work in a major grocery chain, and one evening I’m tidying things up in our frozen bunkers. (For those who don’t know what a bunker is, they are low lying open top freezers set int he middle of the aisle.) This particular bunker is loaded with hashbrowns on both sides. A pair of women approach me from the other side of the bunker.

Customer: “Excuse me, can you tell me where the hashbrowns are?”
Me: *I point to the main spot, then to the bunker right between us* “Yes, they’re over there, and there’s some right here too.”
Customer: *looking at the bunker. “Oh, I didn’t know you could buy them from here!”
(I quickly explained that, barring stuff in the back room, everything was open for purchase.)
