Unfiltered Story #193901

(I’m working at the deli in a grocery store. The way the meats counter is set up makes it so that we can’t see the prices of the meats on our side, just the name of the meat and the code to put into the scales. A woman approaches the counter and I greet her)

Me: What can I get for you?

Woman: Yes, I’d like a pound of the 6.99 turkey.

Me: Which one?

Woman: The 6.99 turkey.

Me: … And the name of that?

Woman: It’s the 6.99 one.

(This goes on before I give up and resort to pointing to each turkey until she told me which one. I went around the counter and checked later and it turns out that all but two of our turkeys cost 6.99 a pound!)
