(I’ve worked at the same coffee shop for a long time so I know every regular’s usual drink order.  On a normal monday a regular customer walks in, she always gets a soy latte because she is lactose intolerant.)

Me: Hello (girl’s name), soy vanilla latte as usual?

Regular: Yes please.

Customer behind her in line: (whispering) F****** skinny b****** with their diet drinks. She’s not even fat.

(The regular turns to look at him.)

Regular: I’m lactose intolerant you a**.

(The rude customer left and I high fived the regular.)
