You Have A Horrible Laugh

(I’m known among my coworkers as having a very off-beat sense of humour.)

Coworker: “Can you believe it? My grandpa is turning 90 next week!”

Me: “All of my grandparents are dead.”

Coworker: “Oh, I’m sorry!”

Me: “It’s okay. I’m only sad about 3/4 of that.”

Coworker: *laughs* “Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry for laughing! I’m a horrible person!”

Me: “That’s okay! I said it that way to try and make you laugh and feel horrible for it. That makes me a horrible person, too!”
