Not Quite The Sweeping Gesture Intended

(We’re cuddling on my boyfriend’s couch. He’s watching TV and I’m studying for an upcoming test. My phone alarm goes off telling me it’s time to go to work.)

Me: “Okay, let me up. I gotta get going.”

(He stands up and when I go in to give him the standard goodbye kiss he grabs and sweeps me down into one of those movie style dip-kisses. At first it’s adorable, but then in a typical move on his part the kissing becomes more goofy and he dips me lower. I’m not at all known for being graceful and am also wearing socks on hardwood floors. I end up sliding and laying on my back with my boyfriend standing over me.)

Me: “Okay now, you goof. Help me up.”

Boyfriend: “I just swept you off your feet! What more do you want?!”
