More A Cup-holder Half-Empty Kind Of Person

(My boyfriend and I are shopping for groceries. The store is part of a large chain, and like many locations it has a coffee chain counter inside. I have a gift card and it’s a hot day, so I get a cup of iced tea. I take a few sips, then put it in the cup-holder attached to the cart.)

Boyfriend: “OH, MY GOD!”

Me: *startled* “What?”

Boyfriend: “OH, MY GOD! For YEARS I have wondered why the heck there are cup-holders in shopping carts. YEARS!”

Me: “Really? It’s… to hold your drink. While you shop.”

Boyfriend: “Well, NOW it’s obvious. IT ALL MAKES SENSE! FINALLY!”
