Making A Meal Out Of This Whole Pregnancy Thing

(I’m lying on the floor, watching TV with my young son. He scoots up close to me, a little closer than is comfortable.)

Me: “Careful, buddy, you’re squishing my tummy.”

Son: “Squishing your tummy?”

Me: “Yeah.”

Son: “You have a little baby in your tummy?”

Me: “Yeah, I do.”

Son: “You’re going to eat it? Eat it for breakfast?”

Me: “No! Do I eat you for breakfast?”

Son: “No.”

Me: “Then why would I eat the baby for breakfast?!”
