A customer is making an order over the phone. It comes time to pay, and they say:

Caller: “Oh, let me go find my credit card.”

This is very annoying, as you knew when you picked up the phone you would need it! I hang on and hang on, and nothing happens, so I say to my colleague:

Me: “I hope this lady is okay, she went to get her card and hasn’t come back.”

This is immediately followed by the irate customer yelling:

Caller: “I’ve been here the whole time!” 

When she said she was going to get her card, it didn’t occur to her to tell me that she was ready after!
