If They ‘Threaten’ To Go Somewhere Else, You Should Say ‘Promise?’
We have a lady who comes in once a month to shop.
Customer: “You’re lucky I come here so often! You’re keeping the lights on thanks to me!”
She isn’t even close to a being a “big” spender.
Customer: “You! Help me! With the amount I spend here, you should be giving me personal service!”
Me: “I’m afraid no one is currently available to—”
Customer: “—Get me your manager! This is not how a business treats its best customer!”
Eventually, she got to the part of the complaint where she would threaten to “shop elsewhere.”
Question of the Week
