Hitting The Thigh Notes

(We are listening to the radio and “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel comes on. My boyfriend leans over to me and starts to sing his own version.)

Boyfriend: “I reach out from the inside, in your thighs.”

Me: “What?”

Boyfriend: “The light, the heat, in your thighs.”

Me: “You’re just replacing the word ‘eyes’ with ‘thighs,’ aren’t you?”

Boyfriend: “I am complete, in your thighs.”

Me: “Don’t do it!”

Boyfriend: “I see the doorway to a thousand churches, in your thighs!”
