Gave Shopping A Fair Shot

(I am a young woman who despises shopping and has extremely simplistic fashion taste. I am with my mom, my grandma, and my mom’s boyfriend’s mom.)

Me: *sighing* “Man, I need new shoes… Mine are falling apart.”

Mom: “Well, we could go shoe shopping later.”

Me: “Ugh… I guess… but I’d really rather be shot.”

(Everyone is quiet for a minute or rolling their eyes.)

Me: “I didn’t mean fatally… just like… in the leg or something.”
