Being Shy On The Fly

(It’s the first day of school. I’m sitting at lunch with my best friend and her other good friends. One of her friends and I get talking, and I mention that I saw her at a store a few weeks ago. However, when I saw her at the store, I tried to hide from her, ducking behind shelves, being the super-shy person I am. I had hoped up to this point she hadn’t noticed.)

Her: “Oh yeah! I did see you at [Store]. I was going to talk to you, but you kept ducking behind shelves… Were you trying to hide from me?”

Me: “…No?”
