Teacher: “Since we already mailed out the report cards two days ago, I’m sure you know about [My Name]’s good grades.”

Dad: “I didn’t see the report card.”

(They then turned to me.)

Me: “I gave it to you and you said you didn’t want—”

Dad: “—SHH!”

(My dad put his hand over my mouth and took me out of the classroom. When we got home, he saw my report card and was surprised that I finally got straight A’s.)
