(My father has become the computer science teacher at my old high school, and I’ve agreed to be his TA. This is on the first day of class)
Father: Howdy, everyone. I’m [my father’s name] and I’ll be teaching your class. (gestures to me) This is Igor, and he’ll be my assistant.
Student: Is Igor your real name?
Me: No, it’s [my name].
(Alas, Igor stuck, although the students often call me Professor Igor, where my father is just Mr. [our name]!)
