[I’ve been in and out of the the doctor’s office for months, and on this particular visit, I was trying to get birth control. I needed it so I could avoid having my period altogether, as I have PMDD. Of course, it made perfect sense for the doctor to ask:]

Doctor: Are you sexually active?

Me: Ha, no, I’m gay.

Doctor: Gay in what way?

Me, trying not to die laughing: You know, gay! I’m super lesbian! I only like girls!

[The doctor didn’t say anything else about it. I did get the birth control though, and I’ve been doing great. ]
